STORYTELLING BEGINS IN MAY.......
Our storytelling sessions encourage children to:
develop listening and attention skills
build vocabulary and communication
grow in confidence and self-expression
explore creativity and imagination
engage socially with others in a safe, welcoming environment
These sessions align with EYFS prime areas of learning, particularly Communication and Language, Personal, Social and Emotional Development, and Expressive Arts and Design, helping to create strong foundations for future learning.

STORYTELLING BEGINS IN MAY.......
Our storytelling session explores the much-loved story THE VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR by Eric Carle as a multi-sensory learning experience for early years children.
Rather than simply reading the story, we guide children through an interactive journey of rhythm, repetition, counting, and discovery
After the story, children explore through touch and colour — dipping into paint, pressing shapes, and layering textures to create their own artwork.
A calm, hands-on moment to feel, create, and express themselves — their way.

Monthly Storytelling at No Ordinary Museum – Beginning April
Beginning this May, No Ordinary Museum will introduce our Monthly Storytelling sessions, specially designed to support Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) learning through imagination, exploration and play. Children will experience stories through a rich, multi-sensory approach, combining audio-visual elements, hands-on (kinaesthetic) activities, and interactive storytelling that encourages listening, language development and creative expression. Our style of learning is child-centred and engaging, allowing children to see, hear and touch as they discover new ideas and build confidence. These sessions nurture communication skills, curiosity and a love of learning in a warm, welcoming and inspiring environment.
